What constitutes a club? Any group of two or more
people
What are the divisions of clubs? Small-10 or less
members
Midsize-11-49 members
Large-50+ members
How
does a club register? Simply signify a unique name
for your club. Tell each of your club members to fill
in your club name when registering for each race.
How
does a club designate their division? You will be
assumed to be in the large division unless
the club registration form is filled out and forwarded
to Kevin@midwestmultisport.com
Does
our club need a uniform? No. If you want
to start a club, you do not need a uniform.
However, if your club has a uniform we encourage you to
wear it with pride!
Is
there any fee? No.
How
are the points earned? Each club member who is listed
as a finisher in the official results will earn 1 point.
Bonus points are earned for top ten overall finishes in
each gender. First=3 bonus points, Second=2 bonus points,
Third-Tenth=1 bonus point. This points system weighs heavily
towards level of participation in a club, not the speed
of the club.
How many races can a Club earn points in? A club
keeps the points in the five races in which they earn
the most points.
Is
it at any race? This is only at the Midwest Multisport
Series races.
Does
a relay team earn points? Only individual results
earn points.
Is
it gender or age specific? One point for each finisher,
regardless of age or gender.
What
is the prize? Bragging rights! And at season's end,
A traveling trophy to keep for the year.
Example:
Club
A: 27 finishers= 27 points
2nd, 3rd, 6th oall female= 4 bonus points
4th, 9th overall male= 2 bonus points
TOTAL= 33 points
Club
B: 38 finishers= 38 points
None in top ten= 0 bonus points
38 points
Club
B, with more participants, easily wins over Club A, even
though Club A has some fast athletes.
