The town of Waconia is located west of the Twin Cities on Highway 5 and hosts a beautiful race. The rectangular 0.5-mile swim in Lake Waconia is followed by a 20-mile loop on the bike. The bike course starts out with several short climbs in the town of Waconia , before heading out through rolling hills and farmland. The 4-mile run follows the same first 2 miles as the bike course before returning to the transition area. You will want to stick around after this race to enjoy the beautiful Lake Waconia Regional Park and play in the water at the beach while waiting for awards. The Waconia Triathlon will again be part of the Midwest Multisport Series and will raffle off great give-a-ways at  the end of the awards ceremony.
